We had a sweet time at last month’s ice cream social! Recently, our residents gathered in the clubhouse for an afternoon of sweet treats, laughter, and new friendships. As new and longtime residents mingled, we built new connections with neighbors and exchanged stories.

Set in our cozy community clubhouse, the ice cream social was a chance to create lasting memories and strengthen the sense of community that makes living at Cottages at Compass Point so special. Guests could make their own ice cream sundaes and get creative with a variety of sweet and salty toppings.

Fostering community is just as important as enjoying our beautiful neighborhood. We’re always excited to host events like this, where residents can come together, unwind, and enjoy the good company of their neighbors. Be on the lookout for more fun activities in the coming months!

A New Hub for Our Community

July marked a significant milestone for our community with the grand opening of our Community Clubhouse. The ribbon-cutting event took place in late July under sunny skies. The day was full of celebration and unity for the local community, drawing together residents and local leaders.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Chris Vernon and his family was a testament to the collaborative spirit and community vision that defines the Cottages at Compass Point. The Clubhouse is now a centerpiece of the community.

Features and Future of the Clubhouse

The Clubhouse was designed as a vibrant space for resident gatherings and group activities. It boasts a range of luxury features. Spacious meeting rooms, a well-appointed lounge, and a state-of-the-art kithen with dining room offer plenty of spaces to gather and host events. The fitness center is home to top of the weights and cardio equipment like Peloton spin bikes. The pools and a large sports field are availabke for residents and their personal guests to use year-round.

Looking Ahead

Residents can look forward to a calendar filled with events, from fitness classes to art workshops and social gatherings. The space was designed not just for the elevated amenities but to foster a sense of connection among our neighbors. We look forward to hosting fundraisers, holiday festivals, and community events here.

Ocean County’s Newest 55+ Clubhouse

The doors are set to open to the 55+ community clubhouse at Cottages at Compass Point in just a few short months. We’re busy finalizing interior design decisions and adding personal touches throughout the common areas.

Designed for the Coast

The clubhouse, open exclusively to our 55+ residents and their guests, will have a relaxing coastal atmosphere throughout the two stories of gathering rooms, fitness centers, and common areas. Pulling a color palette from the natural coastal surroundings of Ocean County, you’ll see calming neutrals, rich greens and relaxing blue hues in the wallpaper, paint, and accent colors.

Working with Local Designers

This area is rich with local talent, and we’re tapping into the design community of Barnegat and Long Beach Island to bring residents one-of-a-kind, custom pieces. We’ve worked with New Jersey-native Tom Sweeny who is from this community to design the interior dining room, living rooms, and gathering spaces. The walls of the clubhouse will feature coastal decor to bring in the local beauty of the Barnegat Bay, Atlantic Ocean, and historic Jersey Shore towns throughout the clubhouse.

Gathering Spaces

Our team is busy finalizing construction on the communal gathering spaces. A community kitchen will be open year-round for hosting larger parties, testing new recipes, and meeting with friends over a meal. A library will be stacked with books, magazines, and other reading materials for a relaxing afternoon. Meeting rooms will be available for work calls or virtual gatherings, with access to high-speed internet and plenty of charging ports.

The clubhouse construction is nearing completion and is set to open this fall at the entrance of our 55+ community! Here is an update on the current projects underway.

Our community clubhouse will offer a central hub for residents to engage in games and the arts. For our residents’ convenience and safety, we will have professional staff on-site to answer questions, clean and take care of the communal spaces, and keep resident requests in order. Outside the clubhouse, residents will be delighted to find communal grilling stations, and fire pits to enjoy chilly evenings with family and friends.

Sports Courts and Two Pools
We recently finished construction on the outdoor sports courts, with four stunning pickleball courts, two bocce ball courts, and a basketball court. These are available to use year-round by residents and their guests only. A mini putting green has been added to the front of the clubhouse for practice putting. The two pools, one inside and one outside, are in construction. Both heated, residents can enjoy swimming during any season.

Looking Forward
The interior of the clubhouse is underway as we finalize color palettes and finishing touches. Inside the clubhouse will have relaxing and coastal atmosphere, complimenting the beautiful surroundings here in Barnegat. We have chosen to adorn the inside of our clubhouse with local artwork that showcase the area’s talent and natural beauty.

A library, community kitchen, and gathering spaces will be available for residents to enjoy with friends or visitors. We are committed to our residents’ full enjoyment of their homes at Cottages at Compass Point. That’s why we will take great care to make sure this community is rich with activities and events. Once our clubhouse is complete, we will use it to host events for the holidays, local markets, and popups with farmers markets, local makers, artists, and more.

We are excited to open our community clubhouse this fall, with exclusive access to resident of our 55+ community. Check back on our website for more updates on our construction progress!
